Expression of Interest: Camden Town Centre Major Events Business Engagement

Camden Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Camden Town Centre businesses to promote and/or showcase their business during Council-run events in the Camden Town Centre. 

Camden Town Centre is home to a range of exciting and engaging events throughout the year that continue to grow and attract more and more people each time they are held. Being involved with the events can enhance your business' connection to Camden's growing community, residents and visitors.

Friday 26 January 2024 Australia Day Community Event  Camden Council marks Australia Day with Australiana-themed entertainment and the ever-popular Macarthur Lions Street Parade in Camden.
   
   
TBC September 2024 Picnic in the Park 

Camden Festival includes Council's popular Picnic in the Park event. Enjoy a day out in picturesque Macarthur Park with friends and family while being entertained with a family-friendly program including activities, food and drink stalls, live music entertainment and more.

 TASTE Camden

Camden Festival includes Council's popular signature event TASTE Camden. This much-loved event includes a huge range of food, drink, produce and alcohol vendors, live music performances, celebrity chef demonstrations, kids cooking demonstrations, kids' entertainment and much more.

 Camden Christmas Festival Celebrate Christmas in Camden with live entertainment, activities, a variety of stalls, lighting of the Christmas tree, and even a visit from Santa!

 Camden Civic Centre

The Civic Centre hosts over 1000 events annually and boasts a program of national and international artists from acclaimed musicians, comedians, theatre troupes and dancers to local artists showcasing their emerging talent.

Opportunities exist for local businesses to be stall holders at Camden Council's major events held throughout the year. Complete the form to be notified when applications are being accepted for Council events.

How can my business be involved?

  • Complete the EOI form below to select the event/s that you would like to be considered for.

  • When Council staff contact you in the lead-up to the event date, you can:

- Propose a promotion, deal or incentive aligned with the event that encourages attendees and visitors to visit your business and shop locally; and/or

- Let us know about trading hours that align with the event eg. extended night-time trading

  • Use your social platforms to promote your incentives in the lead-up to the event.

What incentives could I offer? 

Incentives can include, but not be limited to:  

  • Extend your hours to align with the event eg Extended opening during Australia Day Parade

  • Notify Council of your existing evening trading hours

  • Host an activation in your business – eg. one-off workshop – pizza making, signature cocktail

  • Free garlic bread when ordering a main meal

  • Discounts for event ticket holders

  • Complimentary item, eg. Spend over $100 and receive a free tote bag

  • Social media incentives – theme your shopfront and have a photo competition

  • Pre-order takeaway and have it delivered

  • Themed menu

What Council will do

  • Council staff will contact you in the lead up to the event to confirm your promotion, deal or incentive. 

  • Provide free editable themed social media collateral to assist with marketing your incentives. 

  • Promote your incentive in line with the event communication plan.

Is there a cost to participate?

No.

Can I opt out at any time?

Yes. The Economy & Place Team will email all expressions of interest in the lead up to the event, seeking confirmation of your participation.

Do I have to offer a discount?

No.
