On 8 March 2023 Camden Council continued to support and celebrate local women at our third annual International Women's Day Gala, featuring keynote speaker, Naomi Simson, founder of RedBalloon, co-founder Big Red Group, Shark Tank Australia.

Camden Careers Expo 

On Thursday 27 April 2023, Camden Council hosted the Camden Careers Expo with Regional Industry Education Partnerships. The Expo welcomed young people and job seekers to connect with a range of industries offering tangible career pathways, study and training opportunities.

Small Business Month March 2022 

Camden Council’s March 2022 Small Business Month program aimed to give local small business owners and staff the opportunity to enhance their business’ community profile, nurture existing relationships, connect with other businesses and potential customers, and learn and acquire new skills and ideas to strengthen their business position.

Camden Council's second annual International Women's Day Gala was a special event which featured inspirational speakers, celebrated women's achievements and promo.

Camden Careers Expo 

Camden Council delivered its first Careers Expo to connect high school students and job seekers with career information, and employment and service providers in and around the Camden LGA. Delivered in partnership with the Regional Industry Education Partnerships, this exciting event connects local young people and job seekers with the jobs of the future.

Small Business Month November 2022

Camden Council’s November 2022 Small Business Month program invited local small business owners and staff to connect with their business community and potential customers, nurture existing relationships, and learn and acquire new skills and ideas.

A Camden Chrissy 

Businesses in the Camden LGA were involved in showcasing #camdenbought campaign over the festive period. Council worked with small businesses to produce videos to include in a virtual advent calendar.

Local businesses also provided special messages and offers to enjoy during the holiday period. You can see the support for local business on socials using #camdenbought.


 International Women's Day Gala 2021

Camden Council hosted its first International Women's Day Gala which successfully the women in our local community. A panel of speakers 
spoke about their experiences, trials and successes.

Digital Adaptation Grants                

Digital Adaptation Grants were available to small local businesses to assist in going digital during COVID-19.

A range of local businesses got involved and transformed their services to adapt to COVID-19. Here are some highlights from Two Chicks Lebanese Charcoal BBQ and Symphony's on Argyle.

COVID-19 Support and Recovery Package 

Stage Three, or the recovery phase, has an incredible $113.8 million worth of value packed into it, which is the most significant package offered to a community by a local council in the country.

This robust stage includes 65 projects and programs to be delivered across the next four years. It is focused on getting the Camden business community back on its feet, with a range of exciting projects and programs.
