Multicultural March and Harmony Day Activities

Camden Council acknowledges, promotes and supports cultural diversity in our local community through organising and promoting activities and events during Multicultural March and Harmony Week 21-27 March which also celebrates around Harmony Day (21 March each year).

Multicultural March is an initiative of the NSW State Government and is a symbol of its determination to foster a society where everyone can make a commitment to our community and economy.

Harmony Day is an initiative of the Federal Government and is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate living in a culturally diverse society, to say no to racism and to re-commit to the values of harmony. This is an ideal opportunity for the Camden community to come together to celebrate and recognise its cultural diversity.

Council has a program of events throughout March which celebrates the diversity of Camden.

Camden Council's Cohesive Communities Advisory Group celebrates Harmony Week in March by supporting a diverse range of activities for all to enjoy. The program includes Multicultural Movie Night, Cultural Fashion Parade Online Photo Competition, Camden Culture Club at Alan Baker Art Gallery and activities across Camden Libraries.
