Emerging Groups

Between 2016 and 2021, the number of people living in the Camden LGA that were born overseas increased by 13,646 people or 99.3%, and the number of people from a non-English speaking background increased by 15,547 people or by 8.1%.

The largest changes in the country of birth of the population in this area between 2016 and 2021 were for those people who were born in the following countries: 

  • India (+2,191 persons)
  • Iraq (+993 persons)
  • Philippines (+961 persons)
  • Nepal (+756 persons)
