After a ruff few years, Council is excited to announce its much-loved, four-legged festival is back!

Paws in the Park will return in 2022, to be held on Sunday 1 May at Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park, 9am-1pm.

The event, which will be made up of a combination of live and online activities, will include:

  • A two-kilometre dog walk;
  • Pet information and product stalls;
  • A special guest appearance;
  • Food and drink stalls;
  • An agility course for dogs;
  • Professional demonstrations;
  • Doggy competitions on the main stage;
  • Roving entertainment;
  • Activities for kids;
  • A pet photo-booth
  • An inclusive space; and
  • More!

The online component will include:

  • Colouring in competition; and
  • Online competition to submit photos of your pet in a range of categories.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said she was excited to have the event back up and running in-person.

“I am so excited our event is able to go ahead this year, as it did prior to COVID-19,” Cr Fedeli said.

“Of-course all restrictions and guidelines are being followed, but it is nice to know we will be able to come together as a community, with all intentions of walking around the market-style event and allowing our furry friends to interact with others.

“Over the past two years I am sure our pups have been doing lots of walking and learning how to behave on their leads. It will be great to see the community having some fun, dressing up their dogs for the competitions.

“Whether you attend the in-person event or tune in to Council’s online program, I hope everyone can get involved in one way or another. There are many educational resources available this year, so I encourage you to learn something new!”

Online competition details will be announced on Council’s Facebook page.
