Threatened Native Animals

Threatened fauna species may be listed at a state level under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 (BC Act) or at a national level under the Commonwealth's Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

There are 25 fauna species which are threatened under the BC Act and eight fauna species that are threatened under the EPBC Act within the Camden Local Government Area. This includes 17 birds, seven mammals which are all bats, and one invertebrate which is the Cumberland Plain Land Snail.
