Wet play wheelchairs

Camden Council has wet play wheelchairs available for use at Dawson-Damer Park and Curry Reserve.

The child and adult size all terrain wheelchairs were designed by a team of specialist paramedics and tested and approved by people with restricted mobility.

The wet play wheelchairs will provide and improve access to the water play area for children and people living with disability.

Make a booking

To hire a wet wheelchair at one of our water play space facilities, please submit your booking request on our booking platform, Bookable. Please be advised all bookings will be automatically confirmed and an access code will be provided instantly via email. The access code provided will also give access to the adult change facility within the booking times.

To assist with creating a booking in Bookable, please watch this helpful how-to video guide

Alternatively, you can visit Council's Administration Building in Oran Park, the Camden Visitor Information Centre or contact us on 13 CAMDEN (13 226336) or mail@camden.nsw.gov.au.

A carer will need to assist in using the wet wheelchair and must be with the user at all times.

Adult change facilities

As part of Council’s overall strategy to encourage and improve accessibility and inclusiveness for people with disability; Council provides temporary and permanent access codes for people with disability to access the adult change facilities at Dawson-Damer Park and Curry Reserve.

The accredited Changing Places Facilities feature an adjustable adult-size change table, hoist, toilet, shower and space for two carers to support a person with disability.

The facility can only be accessed by an MLAK key or an access code. MLAK key and permanent access code holders will have 24/7 access to this facility.

How do I get a Permanent Access Code?

Application forms are available at Camden Council’s Administration Building. Alternatively, you can complete an Access Code online form

If you have lost or forgotten your MLAK key and need immediate access to the facility; a temporary access code can be provided by calling Council on 13 CAMDEN (13 226336).
