Kerbside Collection
Council’s Kerbside Collection service helps residents to easily dispose of waste materials that are too bulky for normal garbage collection.
Residential properties are eligible for three [3] Kerbside Collection services per financial year. Residents may book an additional collection for a fee of $119.00.
Before you book a kerbside collection, have you considered donating to a local charity?
Charity organisations and op shops are a great option for clothing, accessories, books and furniture that are in good condition - if you’re not sure whether to donate, think “Would I give it to a mate?”. If so, you can contact your nearby op shop to ensure your donation makes a difference!
To book a collection, please follow the four easy steps:
1. Book your kerbside collection
Make a booking before placing any material on the kerb. Either:
- Contact Council’s Customer Relations Team on 4654 7777,
- Complete the online booking form, or
- Download ‘OurCamden’ Council App to make a booking from your smart phone
Do not put your unwanted material on the kerbside until you have made a booking with Council and confirmed the booking date.
2. Prepare your collection material
Place your material out on the kerb no earlier than 2 days before your booked collection day.
This will help keep our streets clean and tidy and will prevent people from adding extra materials to your items. You will receive an email (check your junk mail or spam folder) or letter confirming the date and details of acceptable items and quantities.
Material should be out by the evening before your booked collection day!

Remember to keep material clear of parked cars, street signs and trees.
If you are still unsure of whether an item is acceptable for collection or have any other queries please call Council's Customer Relations Team on 4654 7777.
3. Check the collection volume
Get the volume right. Only three [3] cubic metres of material will be accepted from each property (3m x 1m x 1m).
4. Check your collection
Place in three [3] tidy piles of general items, metals and green waste. Ensure loose items like toys and books are bagged or boxed, whitegoods such as fridges have their doors removed, and green waste is neatly bundled.
Remember to keep material clear of parked cars, street signs and trees.
