Worlds Collide Performance

Council is inviting local musicians to be part of one of the amazing Worlds Collide performances throughout the Cultural Fusion program. Worlds Collide is a seven-piece band from the urban jungles of Western Sydney, delivering cultural performances that build connections between communities and institutions around Australia. Opportunity exists for local musicians to jump up with them, play and connect; creating a network for locals to bring their amazing ‘place-based’ music to Western Sydney!

You might be:

  • A sax, trumpet or horn player who can jump in and play five songs
  • A hip hop MC and want to jump in for one or two songs
  • A percussionist eager to engage in the entire performance
  • A backing vocalist who is keen to perform and open to learn new songs

Worlds Collide would provide the tracks in advance, with practice to be done during sound check:

  • MCs could prepare a rap or two that fits with a certain song or songs
  • Horn players would receive charts

If you are interested, please email creative@camden.nsw.gov.au with your details and brief bio. Your details will be forwarded on to Worlds Collide Coordinator, Richard Petkovic.
