Camden Council Public Art Policy

Camden Council aims to promote and coordinate the integration of design and public art into the built and natural environment to ensure Camden develops as a safe, creative, unique and vibrant place.

Public art provides an important vehicle for expressing community and cultural identity and in developing, preserving and celebrating Camden’s history and cultural heritage, reflecting a contemporary community by enhancing our creative and public spaces.

Camden Council has endorsed its first Public Art Policy.

Council has also supported the Youth Public Art Projects with a number of murals involving local youth and professional artists in various locations in Camden LGA.
