Older People
Older People aged 50-85 years make up 24% (Census 2021) of the population in the Camden Local Government Area (LGA).
2021 Census, Camden Council area's population increased by 39,683 people (+49.4%).
The population within the LGA is estimated to grow significantly over the next 30 years as a result of the extensive new developments planned for the LGA with the South Western Sydney Growth Centre and as a result of the general aging population. This will present a challenge for Council and Community organisations working with older people to ensure services and activities continue to be relevant and meet the population demand.
