Active Ageing Strategy
Active Ageing in Camden
Camden Council is committed to working with the community, local businesses, service providers and all levels of government to ensure Camden is a great place to age—now and into the future.
Population forecasts show that between 2016 and 2026, Camden will experience a 57.4 per cent increase in residents of retirement age. This growth means that by 2026, one in five people living in the Camden Local Government Area (LGA) will be aged 65 years and over.
Camden Council developed the Active Ageing Strategy 2016 - 2026. This strategy is a living document that guides Council's approach to supporting older residents by building on existing community strengths and resources.
