Cat Foster Care Program
Change a Life—Maybe Even Your Own
Thank you for considering opening your home to a cat or kitten in need. By becoming a foster, you’re giving an animal a second chance—and helping us save more lives.
Why Foster?
Fostering is one of the most rewarding ways to help. It gives cats and kittens a loving, temporary home while they wait to be adopted—and helps us rescue more animals in need.
🐾 Flexible: You can foster short-term, long-term, or even just for a weekend.
🐾 Rewarding: Watch your foster grow, heal, and blossom.
🐾 Life-saving: Every foster home makes room for another rescue.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included when I foster?
We provide:
- Bowls, bedding, collars, and medication (if needed)
- A welcome pack and ongoing support
Food and litter are not included.
How long does fostering last?
It depends! Some animals stay for a few weeks, others for several months.
We also need respite carers for short-term or emergency placements.
Can I meet the cat before I agree to foster?
Absolutely! We can arrange a meet-and-greet. If that’s not possible, we’ll do our best to match you with the right cat based on your lifestyle.
Can I foster more than one animal?
Yes—if you’re open to it and the cats are compatible. We’ll make sure they’re a good match.
What if I work long hours?
No problem. Some cats are more independent and can do well in a quiet home. Just let us know your schedule, and we’ll find a good fit.
Can I foster with kids or other pets?
Definitely. Just tell us a bit about your household so we can match you with a cat that’s likely to thrive in your environment.
What if the cat isn’t settling in?
It’s totally normal for cats to take time to adjust. Most follow the 3-3-3 Rule:
- 3 days to decompress
- 3 weeks to settle into a routine
- 3 months to feel truly at home
We’re here to support you every step of the way.
Where do I go for vet appointments?
We’ll direct you to one of our trusted partner vets.
Please contact us before booking appointments.
How can I help my foster cat get adopted?
- Send us photos, videos, and personality notes
- Share updates on social media
- Or... adopt them yourself!
Can I travel with my foster cat?
No, but if you’re going away, we can arrange short-term care while you're gone.
What if I need to stop fostering?
That’s completely okay. Just give us a little notice so we can make alternate arrangements.
Can I adopt my foster cat?
Yes! If you fall in love, let us know and we’ll walk you through the adoption process.
What happens if someone else wants to adopt my foster cat?
We’ll keep you informed and arrange meet-and-greets with potential adopters. You’ll be part of the journey.
