Upgrades to Amenities Buildings
Council is providing new/additional amenities at the following fields:
Kirkham Oval, Elderslie
Kirkham Oval in Camden is set to receive an upgrade with the construction of a new amenities building. The facility will include female-friendly change rooms, a referee room, a first aid room, and other supporting amenities to service the adjacent rugby sports field.
Commencement date: February 2026.
Completion date: October 2026, weather depending.
Budget: Camden Rugby League Football Club successfully secured $1 million towards the project through the NSW Government’s Office of Sport’s Greater Cities and Regional Sport Facility Fund, while Council is contributing an additional $3 million to the project.
Nugget Beames Reserve, Narellan Vale
To support the growing use of the reserve and meet the future needs of users, Council will be delivering a new sports amenities building. The new facility will include changerooms and additional storage next to the existing building, helping to improve functionality, accessibility and comfort for players, officials and volunteers who use the reserve regularly.
Commencement date: October 2026.
Budget: $900,000 funded by Council.
Fairfax Reserve, Harrington Park
To support the growing use of the reserve and meet the future needs of users, Council will be delivering a new sports amenities building. The new facility will include changerooms and additional storage, helping to improve functionality, accessibility and comfort for players, officials and volunteers who use the reserve regularly.
Commencement date: October 2026.
Budget: $1.1 million funded by Council.
Council is also completing detailed designs for some minor renovation works to the ground floor of the existing building. These works will require additional funding to be delivered.
Harrington Park Reserve, Harrington Park
Stage 2 of the redevelopment works at Harrington Park Reserve, Harrington Park have commenced. This stage will focus on upgrading the sports amenities building and expanding the upper car parking facilities.
The works includes:
- Extension of onsite car parking;
- Demolition of the existing amenities building;
- Construction of a new sports amenities building;
- Installation of new spectator seating;
- Construction of pedestrian pathways;
- Earthworks;
- Additional tree planting; and
- Landscaping improvements.
To facilitate these upgrades, the facility will be temporarily closed. Please note that the playspace car park located on Charker Drive will remain accessible.
During construction, residents may experience increased traffic and temporary changes to the local road network, including restrictions on roadside parking to accommodate construction vehicles. We will endeavor to minimise disruptions and we appreciate you’re understanding and cooperation.

Budget: $3.9 million co-funded by Council and the NSW Office of Sport Grants Program.
Camden Tennis Clubroom
Council is delivering a new clubroom facility providing a functional and professional base to support the club’s day to day operations.
Commencement date: Mid-March 2026.
Completion date: June 2026, weather depending.
Budget: Council received $403,000 in funding from the NSW Government Office of Sport while Council is contributing an additional $120,000 to the project.
