With disasters such as flooding becoming more frequent, it has never been more important to be prepared. Camden Council is supporting our community to build resilience and be ready for whatever comes our way.

Community resilience is about more than responding to disasters. It means:

  • Being prepared before something happens
  • Looking out for each other during challenging times
  • Recovering, adapting and growing stronger together

Camden’s Resilience Plan

Camden Council’s Resilience Plan was endorsed at the Council meeting on 9 June 2026 and sets out a clear direction for building a stronger, more resilient Camden.

The Plan was developed with support from government funding and shaped by input from our community and key partners.

It focuses on how we can better prepare for, respond to and recover from a wide range of challenges, from natural hazards like floods and heatwaves to ongoing pressures such as cost of living and population growth.

We are now putting the Plan into action, working closely with our partners and community to deliver practical initiatives that strengthen resilience over time.
