Portable Induction Cooktop Kits

The Portable Induction Cooktop Kit is available to loan free of charge from the Camden Council Administration Building, Oran Park.

Induction cooktops have many great benefits including:

  • Easy and even heat control: heat is generated evenly throughout the base of the pan

  • Faster heating: heat is generated inside the pan, not the cooktop

  • Lower running costs: less electricity required

  • Easy to clean: surface is flat and smooth

  • Healthier for your family: gas cooktops can emit harmful pollutants

  • Safer for your family: induction cooktops do not have an open flame like gas cooktops and the surface does not get as hot as traditional electric cooktops.

By loaning the Portable Induction Cooktop Kit you can try the technology in your own kitchen and decide if it is right for you.

*Safety note: Induction cooktops are not recommended for people with pacemakers or similar medical devices, as the cooktops as the magnetic field generated during use can potentially interfere with their function.
