Biosecurity Notice - Phytopthora spp.
Location: Areas within Oran Park / Harrington Park
In response to concerns over trees showing signs of poor health along Oran Park Drive, Harrington Parkway and Forestgrove Drive, Camden Council has undertaken some initial soil testing. Phytophthora spp. has been detected within the soil. To better understand to extent of the plant pathogen and to inform next steps, further investigations are being undertaken in consultation with experts. Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
Please help us to protect street trees, bushland areas and gardens, by:

Walking on formal pathways;

Always keeping pets on lead, keeping pets on formal pathways; and

NOT walking on soil, mulched or planted sections of median strips, garden beds, or bushland areas.
These simple actions will help reduce the risks associated with the plant pathogen.
