Boots N Beats 100

Macarthur’s largest all-grain beer brewery has come on board as a Gold Sponsor for Camden Council’s highly-anticipated event, Boots n’ Beats.

Merino Brewery, founded and run by ex-military servicemen, Lee Evans and Mark Palmer, opened its doors in Narellan in February 2022. Tasked with making great beer with a local and regional focus, Lee and Mark’s aim for the business is to create a space where locals can try something new and connect with mates.

Lee was excited to reveal something exclusive to the upcoming event, saying attendees could expect custom beer cans on offer.

“By designing a can for Boots n’ Beats [we’re bringing] a distinctive touch to the to the event – bringing people together, fostering a sense of unity and shared experience,” he said.

“Sponsoring Boots n’ Beats allows us to support local culture and arts and connect with the community in a meaningful way.

“Being part of the wider Camden community means embracing a shared heritage, fostering connections, and contributing to the collective well-being of our locality. At Merino Brewery, we cherish this community and are committed to making a lasting, positive impact through our craft beer and community-driven initiatives.”

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said she was excited to see the second event come to life, three years after the inaugural event was held in 2022.

“The first Boots n’ Beats event was such a big success and we had residents raving about it for weeks afterwards. This year’s event promises to be all that and more with an exciting new location and new family friendly start time at midday.

“Events like this wouldn't be possible without the generous support of local sponsors like Merino Brewery. We're incredibly grateful for their commitment to giving back to our community.

“Council is committed to exploring new ways we can work with local producers like Merino Brewery to showcase the amazing products and produce Camden has to offer.”

Boots n’ Beats will be held on Saturday 14 June, 12-6pm, at Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park.
