Camden Community Nursery

The $4 million Camden Community Nursery project is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.

Project Details

The project will convert an industrial area into a community nursery and will be used to nurture native species to be used in landscaping and restoration projects delivered by Council.

While the nursery will not be accessible to the public on a day-to-day basis, plants will be made available to the community through regular plant giveaways.

The nursery will also be structured to offer volunteering opportunities in conjunction with partnering organisations and groups.

A drop-in information session will be held on Wednesday 20 March, 4-7pm, at 55 Topham Road in Smeaton Grange. Come along to meet the project team and learn more about the facility.

Following the close of the exhibition period, the project will move into the detailed design phase before a development application is lodged with the NSW Government in mid-2024.
