Mayor's Christmas Giving Appeal 2022
Each year the Mayor of Camden holds a Christmas Giving Appeal asking residents to donate goods and toys to those in need in the Camden community. The chosen charity for 2022 was the Macarthur Salvation Army.
We are proud to say that more than 60 gifts were donated as part of this appeal. Thank you to everyone who generously played a part in this initiative.
It is not too late to donate to ensure everyone feels the Christmas magic this year: https://www.salvationarmy.org.au/.../make.../donate-online/
MACARTHUR SALVATION ARMY
We all know Christmas is a time for joy. But for those doing it tough – it is often challenging, heart-breaking and isolating. Last Christmas, the Salvation Army provided around over 64,000 hampers as well as 26,000 gifts to individuals and families in need. As cost-of-living increases continue to impact communities across the country, your support is more important now than ever. By collecting and donating food or gifts, you can help us make sure we leave no one in need this festive season.
Macarthur Salvos are accepting donations of toys and books for children aged zero - 17 and non-perishable food items.
From the Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli
"Christmas is about spreading love and joy and it is our pleasure to help those in need at the most important time of the year, The Camden community is one of the best in supporting each other and I call on residents to do what they can to help this year’s Christmas Giving Appeal."
