Procurement
The Camden Council procurement process is in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993. Camden Council’s objective is to acquire best value goods and services for our community.
Tenders and Quotes
Council engages contractors to undertake various projects, works or services for a diverse range of facilities, activities and functions.
When a contractor becomes successful, they are required to comply with the relevant insurances, licenses, qualifications and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) for the life of the contract.
Statement of Business Ethics
Council is committed to the highest standards of honesty, fairness and integrity in all its business dealings. Council’s Statement of Business Ethics sets out the standards of behaviour that Council expects from its private sector partners. These standards of behaviour relate to fair, ethical and honest dealings with Council, and ensuring that the best level of service is provided to the community. Breaches of this Statement may constitute grounds for termination of any awarded contract.
For a full copy of Council’s Statement of Business Ethics please refer to Statement of Business Ethics (nsw.gov.au)
Conserve
Conserve is an online web-based system that maintains and records the required insurances and licenses for Camden Council.
Successful contractors are required to register and upload the relevant information with Conserve before starting work at Council. Also, this allows contractors to manage their WHS Management System in line with legislative requirements.
Note: Conserve charges a minimal annual fee to register and maintain your WHS information, insurances, licenses and qualification requirements on Conserve.
