Busking Registration Form

The Busking Registration Form is for musicians, street performers and pavement artists seeking to perform in Camden LGA in the public domain.

If you are interested in performing as a busker in the Camden LGA you must seek approval from Camden Council and apply for General Busking Registration.

  • If you are under 16 years of age your parent or guardian must complete and sign Section B  of this form and be present when you apply for your Busking Registration at Camden Council.
  • Each member of a group act must submit a separate application for Busking Registration to and receive a Buskers ID.
  • All buskers must read Camden Council’s Busking Policy and the COVID-Safe Fact Sheet.
  • Any approval will be issued subject to conditions in accordance with Camden Council’s Busking Policy.

How to complete this form

  1. Ensure that all fields have been completed correctly.
  2. Please note that fields on this form marked with an * are mandatory and must be completed before submitting the application.
  3. Forms can be submitted in person or online. However, Busking ID’s must be collected personally from Council before booking a site.

1. 125 Argyle St,Camden, Cnr of John and Argyle St. National Australia Bank corner (1-2 people)
2. 39 Argyle St, Camden. Cnr of Elizabeth and Argyle St. Royal Hotel Camden corner (1-2 people)
3. Camden Civic Centre, Cnr of Mitchell and Oxley St , Camden. Front grass area (Up to 5 people)
4. Alan Baker Art Gallery, 37 John St , Camden. Outdoor courtyard (Up to 3 people)
5. Narellan Library cnr of Queen & Elyard St in the plaza forecourt (Up to 5 people)
6. Oran Park Library, 72 Central Ave, Oran Park. Front forecourt (Up to 5 people)
7. Camden Library, 40 John St, Camden. Outside front of library. (Restricted hours) (1-2 people)
8. Blooms Chemist, 146-148 Argyle St, Camden. Outside shopfront on footpath (1-2 people)

9. 118 Argyle St, Camden. Cnr of John St on footpath.  (1-2 people)

Section 1. Applicants Details

If part of a group, each member must submit an individual Busking Registration form.

Section 2.Busking Activity


Buskers can apply for General Busking Registration and there is no cost required. Registrations are valid for one year and can be renewed annually and are not transferable. Please tick the relevant box which applies.

Merchandise -Will you be selling any merchandise?

Council only permits merchandise of original material or products of the busker e.g CD's , T-shirts but no other commercial merchandise.

Performance- Dangerous Materials

Dangerous goods or materials include the use of substances that are flammable, toxic or sharp implements. Will you be using any dangerous goods or implements?

Section 3: Public Liability

1.Performers under 16 do not require public liability insurance. However, It is recommended an adult over 18 years old must supervise the busking activity or provide written permission and consent.

2. If 18 years or over please attach a Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance for $10m coverage where available.

Section 4: Terms and Conditions

All buskers must read and agree to this section.

Buskers Agreement- I agree to the following:

• To only busk in the designated busking locations approved by Camden Council.

• Individual buskers must clearly display or wear a Council Busking ID during their activity and return to the Council organiser at the end of their activity.

• Not to solicit funds or undertake the act of asking, seeking or requesting money or goods from members of the public. Please use a container for voluntary donations.

• Not to use amplified music unless otherwise approved by Council.

• During busking be non-offensive.

• The busking activity should be safe and accessible for the public.

• Not having any potential adverse impacts with nearby businesses, properties or community members.

• Of minimum disruption to pedestrian traffic, conduct of businesses, community safety and public amenity.

I declare that I am the applicant in this application and I have read and accept Camden Council’s Busking Policy and Terms and Conditions of this application. Musicians who do not comply with the conditions can have their registration withdrawn.

I decare that I have read the Busking in Camden LGA Covid -19 Fact Sheet and abide by the conditions.Musicians who do not comply with the conditions can have their registration withdrawn.

Types of proof of identity accepted are proof of age, driver's licence or current passport

Buskers under 18 years of age require a written consent signed by a parent/guardian. See Additional Section 5.

Section 5: Parental and Guardian Consent -Additional

Children under the age of 16 years of age who wish to make an application will be required to submit written parental/guardian consent.

Parent(s) /guardians or carers must take responsibility for buskers under 16 years for busking registration process and during busking activity.

I understand that :

1. That Busking Registration as the parent/guardian of the busking applicant aged under 16 years;

2. Camden Council will not provide supervision of buskers less than 16 years of age unless accompanied by an adult;

3. I must take responsibility for my child at all times while they are involved in busking acivity including any personal items, valuables and instruments .

Section 7: Busking Registration and ID

Once your busking registration application is complete you will receive written confirmation from Council with a Busking ID number. A lanyard will then be provided by mail and worn at all times whilst busking.
