Recent routine testing at Curry Reserve Water Play Space has returned a low level result for Legionella. Low level detections are not uncommon when testing for Legionella. Following advice from NSW Health and as a precaution, Council has immediately shut down the facility to undertake additional cleaning and chlorination before retesting for Legionella.

To ensure that all NSW Health protocols and guidelines are met, including a clear result from retesting, the Curry Reserve Water Play Space will unfortunately be closed until February 9.

We thank you for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

In the meantime, our wonderful waterplay facility at Dawson-Damer Park in Oran Park remains operational.

More information on Legionella can be found at www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/factsheets/Pages/legionnaires_disease.aspx

This is one of the most popular of Camden’s reserves for family and community group gatherings.

The water play park is open for the community to enjoy every day from 10am to 7pm (September to April).

The reserve is situated next to the Camden Visitor’s Centre.
