Community grants

Camden Council is proud to announce the next round of Camden Council’s Community Grants is now open.

The round is open until Monday 4 April and eligible community groups can apply for funding in one of the following categories:

  • Community Small Grants (NFP’s and charities) – Council will provide funding of up to $2,500 to not-for-profit community groups and organisations.
  • Sport and Recreation – Council will provide up to $6,500 to support programs which increase or maintain participation within sport and recreation as well as projects which improve the quality, education/training, safety or range of participation as part of Council’s Stage 3 recovery.
  • Community Sponsorship for community events between July and December 2022 – Council’s sponsorship program is intended to provide support to groups and organisations, by supplementing funds through in-kind or monetary provision for events and activities that will benefit Camden residents.
  • Cultural Activation Seed Grants – The Cultural Activation Seed Grants will make funding available to successful eligible applicants including individual artists, art and cultural groups or art organisations.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said it was wonderful the community can apply for support, especially as we come out of a tough two years.

“Council is pleased to support businesses and not-for-profit organisations, as we come out of some unprecedented times and aim to grow and move forward, stronger than ever,” Cr Fedeli said.

“I am proud of our community and the way everyone works together, particularly in times like the past couple of years. I hope to see more ongoing collaboration and partnerships as we progress over many months to come.”
