Homeowners have the chance to learn how to save on their electricity bills by registering for Council’s free Home Solar and Battery information webinars.

Two free webinars, to be hosted by an independent expert in May, will help residents understand energy use and work out whether solar energy is right for them.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said it was the perfect time for residents to educate themselves on solar power.

“Solar is now more affordable than ever and could save people money whilst also reducing your environmental impact,” Cr Fedeli said.

“As a Council, we aim to assist the community with ways to make their lives easier and installing solar power has several benefits including giving you freedom and control over your electricity bill.

“The webinar will be delivered by an independent expert, so this will not be a sales pitch. This is purely an opportunity for the community to better understand energy use and how we can also reduce our carbon footprint as a whole.

Webinars will be live streamed via Zoom with residents able to register their place on Council’s website and send in their questions to the facilitator at the end of the webinar.
