Family togetherness is more important than ever right now and we’re hoping to add some cheer in celebrating National Families Week this year.

The annual event, starting today and running to Thursday 21 May, sees more than 100,000 people get involved in Australia’s biggest celebration of families in all their diversity.

Due to the current situation around COVID-19 and the importance of social distancing, Camden Council is giving away fun activity packs to the first 120 families who sign up in the Camden area.

“We can’t all get together to celebrate National Families Week this year, but we can create stronger bonds within our own family homes,” Mayor of Camden, Cr Fedeli said.

“Whether it be getting together and having a family meal or playing a board game, time spent with family always brings a smile to my face and I am sure it will for all the families in the Camden area.

“I know how strong our family ties are in our community and I encourage residents to put their names down early to claim one of these fantastic activity packs on offer.”

Fun activity packs on offer include a board game for families with children six years and above or a playdough set for families with children ages five or below.

To enter, families will fill in an online registration form on Council’s website from Monday 18 May 2020. Families must be living in the Camden LGA and one family pack can be claimed per address.

Families are encouraged to share pictures of them enjoying the packs and share them with Council’s social media.
