Have you ever wanted to integrate learning about space, coding or mindfulness into your child’s learning?

Camden Libraries is helping to make that happen, with a range of exciting Learn at Home activities now available for the Camden community. Local children, along with young people and even adults, now have access to:

• National Geographic Kids;

• NASA Kids’ Club;

• Studiosity, a program that allows you to connect with a tutor for homework help;

• Coding at Home;

• Quizzes to wrack your brains;

• Build your own bee hotel;

• Mindfulness techniques; and

• Exercising at home.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the programs would help add an exciting layer to home learning.

“We know remote learning has been challenging for parents and carers, as well as for the children themselves,” Cr Fedeli said.

“These activities will help children stay engaged as they add something different and exciting to their learning. They might have a break from their traditional learning with maths and English sessions and go on to tacking a quiz or learn how to build their own bee hotel.

“Our libraries website also has a range of eResources available including eBooks, eAudio, eComics, eMagazines and much more to keep you all entertained.

“The Camden community has always been at its best when it works together. I thank everyone for doing their bit to keeping each other safe and encourage you all to continue doing your best throughout this tough period.”
