Soulful Australian country songsmith, Adam Brand, has been revealed as the headline act at Camden’s first country music festival.

“I’ll be performing a lot of older songs from my albums over the years, but I’ve also just released a brand-new single called All or Nothing which I’ll do on the night,” Brand said.

“I love being a part of something from day one – how great would it be if this festival turns into something huge and becomes an annual event? Then I can say I was there for the first one!

“I’ve been to Camden a few times before and I’ve actually performed there once. I’m hoping to see some pretty slick dancing on the night!

“It’s exciting to see live music coming back this year [and] it’s even more exciting when an entire town and local council all pull together to put on events like this. I’m honoured to have been invited to [the] first festival.”

Brand won’t be the only one performing up a storm – he will be accompanied by beloved Australian singer-songwriter and runner-up of the first season of Australian Idol, Shannon Noll, and all-female country band, Southbound XO.

Boots n’ Beats will be held on Saturday 18 June, 3-9pm, at Camden Town Farm.

The highly anticipated event will include:

  • Food and drink stalls, including local breweries, smoked meats, corn on the cob and burgers;
  • Product stalls;
  • Line dancing;
  • Roving entertainment;
  • Animal nurseries;
  • Pony rides;
  • Country craft activities for kids; and
  • Boots n’ Beats branded cowboy hats.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said she enjoyed seeing the guessing competition play out on Council’s Facebook page.

“We asked residents to guess who the headline act would be, and every correct answer would go in the draw to win a food truck voucher to be redeemed on the night,” Cr Fedeli said.

“It was so great seeing all the guesses – some spot on and some very far-fetched! It was just so nice to have everyone get involved and get excited about the event.

“The feedback from our residents has been overwhelmingly positive. It seems a local country music festival has been high on the wish-list for some time now, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring that to life.

“The countdown is truly on – it’s about a month away and I’m really looking forward to popping on some cowboy boots and celebrating with you all!

"I am honoured that we will be supporting flood relief efforts at Boots n’ Beats! Stay tuned over the next week for our Charity Partners announcement."
