Skateparks may be closed but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, so we’re running an online competition for local skateboarders, scooter and BMX riders.

In collaboration with the Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative, Camden Council is giving locals the chance to show off their best flat ground-trick and submit it online for their chance to win.

Divisions and prizes on offer include:

  • Under 12 Skateboard (Mixed) - $50 Online Skate Connection voucher;
  • Under 16 Skateboard (Mixed) - $50 Online Skate Connection voucher;
  • Open Male Skateboard - $50 Online Skate Connection voucher;
  • Open Female Skateboard - $50 Online Skate Connection Voucher;
  • Under 12s Scooter (Mixed) - $50 Online Syndicate Store voucher;
  • Open Scooter (Male) - $50 Online Syndicate Store voucher;
  • Open Scooter (Female) - $50 Online Syndicate Store voucher; and
  • Open BMX (mixed) - $50 Online The Village BMX voucher.

Don’t forget to wear your safety equipment, ensure the safety of yourself and those around you, only attempt tricks to your capabilities and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Entrants must live in the Camden area, with their best five flat-ground tricks to be uploaded to an online portal at www.clippero.com/skateboarding by Sunday 31 May. Tricks will be scored on difficulty and style, with points also going towards creativity and use of spaces around the house. One winner will be announced per age division.
