About the Project

At its meeting on 11 April 2017, Council endorsed the delivery of a youth play space at Sedgwick Reserve, Currans Hill.

In May 2017, Council consulted with the community through the 'Your Parks Your Voice' portal and the feedback received was used to develop the preliminary design plans for the park.

The new youth play space will expand on the existing young children's playground at Sedgwick Reserve and will feature new playground equipment including a recessed trampoline and climbing equipment, areas for skating, scooters and bikes, musical equipment and natural play elements to enhance the diversity of play experiences.

The project will also include new shade structures, seating, parking, accessible amenities and landscaping.

Timing

Construction of the park commenced in mid-June 2018 and was officially opened to the public on 17 November 2018.
