Sporting Ovals

Please Note: This date will not change unless there has been an update to the grounds status

To ensure our fields are kept in suitable playing condition it is essential for Council to close sporting fields during and after periods of wet weather and occasionally for maintenance.

Please be advised that all Council managed sports fields are CLOSED. Grounds will be reassessed by 12pm Monday 6 February at which time the wet weather hotline and website will be updated.

During periods of wet weather please phone our wet weather hotline on 8250 4153 for updates.

The Camden Local Government Area is home to a wide variety of sporting ovals and facilities to cater for all kinds of sporting interests.

Recreational Trails

Walking and cycling are the best ways to enjoy the sights of Camden, with a variety of trails throughout the area there are routes suited to all capabilities.

When cycling in Camden it is essential that bikes have the following;

  • Bell or warning device
  • White front reflector
  • Red back reflector
  • Working brakes

Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park

Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park (BEP) was officially opened in August 2000. Since then it has developed into an  equestrian home for many equestrian and non-equestrian groups. The Park is also opened to membership for Recreational Riders (terms & conditions apply).

Location

Camden BEP is located 1 hour drive from Sydney CBD, fifteen minutes from Campbelltown railway station, ten minutes from the main interstate freeway, one minute from Camden town centre and on the scenic alternative route between Sydney — Canberra — Melbourne
