SEPP Exempt & Complying Development Codes 2008

State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 is a state planning policy that allows for the erection of minor buildings without the need for Council approval under certain circumstances. It also allows for approvals for dwellings on blocks of land with an area of 450 square metres and greater to be approved as complying development rather than the usual practice of requiring both a development application and a construction certificate. The requirements for development under this policy can be found by following the link. Camden Council can assist you with enquires in relation to the policy and can, on application, issue approvals to construct dwellings under the provisions of the code.
