Macarthur Area Assistance Scheme (MACAAS)

The Area Assistance Scheme is an annual grants program that funds projects that improve community infrastructure. The scheme is a partnership between the NSW Government, local Councils and the community and focuses on areas that are experiencing significant social and economic stress and change.

The Scheme gives priority to projects that focus on the following three outcomes:

  • Community connected through partnerships
  • Building community leadership and capacity
  • Promoting safe communities

Applications can be lodged electronically via the website

Who can apply?

Incorporated, non-profit community organisations, Councils and Regional Organisation of Councils that have a current ABN.

What types of projects can I get funding for?

The two categories for funding are:

  • Capital (facilities and resources - One Off)
  • Community infrastructure development (Time Limited)

Please Note: Long term community services (pick-up funding) is no longer available
