On 26 July 2004 Camden Council adopted a specific Plan of Management for Gundungurra Reserve in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act. Council, on 13 October 2009, adopted an amended Plan of Management for Gundungurra Reserve which provides for a lease for a gas well and associated road operated by AGL Energy Ltd
