Donations Policy  

The Donations Policy aims to promote and enhance community well being by providing monetary or in kind funds for charitable purposes to assist members of the community where there is a demonstrated need.

Applications are accepted throughout the year from individuals or not for profit community groups residing within the Camden Local Government Area (LGA), or where the donation is to provide benefit to residents of the Camden LGA.

The following criteria will be applied when assessing requests:

  • Purpose of the donation
  • Previous donations made to applicant
  • Annual budget allowance
  • Amount requested; and
  • Applicants access to alternative sources of funding.

Requests of up to $500 are assessed by a committee, while requests over this amount referred to Council for consideration. Under this policy, Camden Council has supported local residents in need and local organisations fundraise for charitable purposes.

Please note: Applications are for one off donations only and must be submitted on an official application form for assessment.
