Community Development Support Expenditure (CDSE)

Are you a not for profit community group within Campbelltown, Camden or Wollondilly?

Clubs in the Macarthur area are lending their support to a wide range of community projects, ranging from welfare to employment services. This boost comes through a club industry program called the Community Development Support Expenditure (CDSE).

The CDSE scheme is coordinated facilitated in local communities through Local Committees made up of representatives from Councils, registered clubs, Department of Community Services and Sector Connect. Macarthur has a Campbelltown Local Committee and a newly formed Camden Local Committee.

For further information or to discuss your project idea, please contact your relevant Council representative or Sector Connect.

Applications

Under the CDSE Guidelines, CDSE Local Committees are to be established in every local government area where the CDSE Category 1 liability exceeds $30,000.

This year, gaming profits from Camden clubs did not meet this requirement. Therefore CDSE funding in Camden will not be available in 2009.

Funding to community will therefore be up to the discretion of each local club's board of directors. However, Council will continue to collate expressions of interest from community groups and advise clubs of social expenditure priorities.
