If you are interested in running a small business in a growth industry from your home, then consider a career in Family Day Care. Family Day Care is an Accredited child care service which provides care for small groups of children aged 0 -12 years in a Carer's home environment.

Carers receive training, support and resources from the Camden Family Day Care Scheme and are paid by the hour in accordance to the number of children they provide care for.

Requirements to qualify to apply to be a Carer

Carers need to be..

  • Responsible adults over the age of 18
  • Have a commitment to providing quality care for children
  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Can provide a safe home environment
  • Are prepared to obtain or already hold a current First Aid Certificate
  • Are willing to work within Government Regulations and Scheme Policies

Your application to become a Carer must be accompanied by a completed Prohibited Employment Declaration and Consent Forms.
