Burning is Prohibited

Residents are advised that in the Camden Local Government Area burning is prohibited!

 

Hazard Reduction

Exceptions apply for bona fide hazard reduction works
where a Hazard Reduction Certificate has been issued
by the NSW Rural Fire Service (02) 9603 7077.

 

Other Fires

In some situations, agricultural operations & cooking fires may be permitted.

The burning of vegetation, without a Hazard Reduction Certificate is prohibited, except with a written Approval from the DEC.

Tree and Vegetation Removal

Council approval is required to remove trees and vegetation.

On the spot fines or legal action will be taken for illegal burning!
