The Australia Day Committee and Camden Council wish to thank the sponsors, stallholders and organisers for the 2013 Australia Day Events. The events were well attended and the streets of Camden echoed community pride. The day was made extra special with a ‘Key to the City’ presentation to Boxing Champion Daniel Geale. Mayor of Camden Cr Lara Symkowiak presented the honourable award prior to the famous Macarthur Lions Street Parade. Over 80 participants took part in the Street Parade with over 4,000 people lining the streets to view. Camden was also very privileged to have Geoff ‘Henry’ Lawson as our 2013 Australia Day Ambassador who embraced the Camden community and delivered an inspiring address at the Civic Ceremony held at the Camden Civic Centre.
