
Animal Registration DetailsLifetime Animal Registration is NOW MANDATORY for Cats and DogsAs you may already be aware, the NSW State Government introduced the Companion Animals Act 1998, to deal with companion animals. Part of this Legislation also changed the procedure for dog and cat registrations. New registration fees are a one off payment for the life of the dog, which is valid anywhere in NSW. Note: proof must be shown of Desexing Certificate; Pensioner concession card; Royal NSW Canine Council card; or NSW Cat Fanciers Association Inc or Waratah State Cat Alliance Inc. You will need to present your microchip papers with the correct registration fee at either of Council's Customer Service Centres in 19 Queen Street Narellan or 37 John Street Camden between 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. The new registration system means you only have to register your animal once for the life of your animal.
