Golf championship swings into action

See some of Australia’s best up and coming amateur golfers tee off and showcase their skills at the Men’s NSW Open Regional Qualifier to be held in Camden.

More than 140 players will tee off and demonstrate their golfing skills on Saturday 20 May, from 7am to 5.30pm at Camden Golf Club.

This year’s event will be a ‘stroke play’ event, incorporated into the Camden Cup, following on from last year’s successful NSW Open Regional Qualifier held in Camden.

The championships’ return helps highlight the region’s golfing facilities, leads to increased visitor spend for our region and provides an opportunity to showcase Camden’s unique and beautiful attractions.

Last year’s NSW Open Regional Qualifier marked the first regional golf event to be held in Camden, as part of a three-year partnership between Golf NSW and Camden Council.

This partnership with Golf NSW aims to increase visitation and support economic development, local businesses and boost tourism in the local area.

Interested golfers can register to play in the event by going to the Camden Golf Club website www.camdengolfclub.com.au
